Jet lag

Warning to anyone traveling oversees and on multiple time zone... jet lag causes chronic laughter, at least, if you are one who copes with it that way. Forrrrrrget about the term jet lag there should be a new name to describe this feeling of traveling to 4 countries and working within 10 days. “Travel shut down” or “Fucked”? There are just moments that I get so spaced out and can’t seem to understand if I am awake or dreaming. Forget [...]

Tokyo in a nutshell

Tokyo is in my opinion the most bizarre place that I have ever traveled, it's non stop entertainment made me laugh almost every 5 minutes. I think Japan will officially become my second home! I always knew Japan was a unusual place compared to the Canadian lifestyle. Growing up with my brother we watched hilarious Japanese prank tv shows and games shows that would bring us to tears laughing. I'v traveled to Kyoto and Tokyo for a quick 5 days [...]

Sirens

I received this text message from a freind in Montreal, it read "I just exited crew Cafe and saw the most serious police/swat team/private security/ private Black SUV & Lincoln town car entourage making their way to the World Trade Center.  Apparently Bono of U2, bill Gates and *Justin Trudeau are all attending an event at the World Trade Center.  Your neighbourhood is pretty interesting tonight" My reply was "sounds like our crew ride from the airport to the Nobu [...]

The smaller places have the largest hearts

The smaller places have the warmest hearts.  Oh sweet Tom.  Last night arrived to Eugene Oregon recovering from a bad chest cold (Bronchitis) that I caught along my travels. Upon arrival I met up with Tom my driver who transferred me to my hotel. My entrance into his van was immediately followed by me saying "can I sleep now Im dying..."  along our little journey we stirred up some pretty funny conversations and spoke about everything from Donald Trump (yikes), [...]

Not My Conversation

Not My Conversation So I sit on a flight and there were many kids loudly having fun . I said with a perky smile out loud "Saturday night kids party" the gentleman in the seat directly behind me responds "yup" I said "fun" he replied "that is a true statement". After half a second of silence I he said "looks like it was raining out before this beautiful sunset". I start my reply and turned around to look at him [...]

Eating while traveling

*Warning don’t expect a spell check Are you kidding me! Murphy’s Law. I rarely spend money on food in the airports, because of my flight status, this allows me to indulge in healthy free food and drinks. On my way to Das Energy I had no time in transit so I grabbed a few snacks for the flight.  This rare time I wasn't interested in the inflight menu and wait time. I spent a heaping 38$ on a sandwich, nuts [...]

Perseid Meteor Shower/ Salt Lake walk

Perseid Meteor Shower/ Salt Lake walk After programming Aron (Tiësto’s  Lighting Designer) had a brilliant idea to drive out to check out a rare meteor shower in the skies over top of the Great Salt Lake. It was impressive. “Astronomers predicted a spectacular shower, with about 200 meteors per hour lighting up the night sky during the time of maximum activity”. The lights were hard to miss in the picture perfect dark skies of Salt Lake surrounded by the shadows [...]

Customs & Security. It’s a Pain in The Butt

*warning don't expect a spell check Customs & Security. It's a Pain in The Butt. Traveling through airports isn't a breeze just because I'm often business class. I travel with only carryon luggage because I am in and out of destinations so quickly, I can't risk luggage going missing or electronics getting damaged I also have working class visas, although this makes traveling surprisingly slower.  Traveling through security can be tedious even with a pass that often allows me to [...]
