Perseid Meteor Shower/ Salt Lake walk
After programming Aron (Tiësto’s Lighting Designer) had a brilliant idea to drive out to check out a rare meteor shower in the skies over top of the Great Salt Lake. It was impressive.
“Astronomers predicted a spectacular shower, with about 200 meteors per hour lighting up the night sky during the time of maximum activity”. The lights were hard to miss in the picture perfect dark skies of Salt Lake surrounded by the shadows of the mountains. Some of meteoroids were so close that they left a trail that would stay in the sky for a sec on or two much like a jet plane cloudy trail.
Myself and Mark (Tiësto’s Sound Engineer) ventured off onto the lake. The lake was dried over by a thick layers of salt. It reminded me of walking on a frozen lake.
